"The big data of the social public security" seminar was successfully held

On October 31th, 2014, a Big Data seminar on social public security was successfully held in Urumchi City of XinJiang by the Shanghai branch of ACM. The meeting was hosted by the director of Shanghai branch of ACM, Mr. Chuanping Hu, who is also the head of the third research center of the Ministry of Public Security in China. Speakers invited to this seminar include Mr. Wen Gao, the vice director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yuwen Qin, the executive vice director of the department of information and sciences in NSFC, Mr. Heping Shi, assistant of the director of scout office in the Ministry of Public Security, and Mr. Liujun Huo, the vice head of the public security department in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. There are also some other famous experts in this field participated in the activity, including Mr. Wusol Slam, academician from Xinjiang University, Mr. Tiejun Huang, head of the digital media research institute in Peking University, Mr. Yonghong Yan, research scientist from phonics research institute in the CAS, and Yongwei Wu, professor from Tsinghua University.
At the beginning of this seminar, Mr. Chuanping Hu introduced all those guests invited and briefly presented themes of the meeting. Then, Mr. Wen Gao and Mr. Liujun Huo expressed their warm welcome and appreciation to all those experts and representatives presented.
After that, Mr. Wusol slam, Mr. Tiejun Huang, Mr. Yonghong Yan, Mr. Peng Li, Mr. Ruimin Hu, Mr. Yang Gao, and Mr. YongWei Wu respectively delivered their reports on big data related topics including: "The analysis and forecast of Big Data in social public security under the multi-language situation", "The characteristic code of Big Data in image and video", "The Analysis of Big Data in media", "The analysis of Big Data in the brain-like intelligence and language", "The analytic theory and method of Big Data in time-space media in terms of the security of cities", "The on-line study and powerful inference facing big data" and "The effective storage and processing of big data". After these reports, the guests had a hot discussion on the issues presented.
